ABSTRACT

The passive smoking causes around 34,000 deaths from heart disease apart from 7,300 deaths from Lung Cancer. According to Surgeon General’s Report, at about 2.5 million nonsmokers died as they breathed Passive Smoking. The active smoker smoke through a filter but persons who entertains passive smoking will never use filter which will be more dangerous than active smokers. Therefore it is better to quit passive smoking to be healthy living with the family members.

Pathology of Passive Smoke Exposure

Second-hand smoke (SHS) also known as Passive Smoking. In other words, Environmental tobacco smoke i.e. ETC can also be termed as Passive smoking. The people who are within that environment exposed Passive Smoking and using of such tobacco cause diseases, disability or death and many more health risks. Out of other sources, the Cigarettes are the common source for secondhand smoke. As the tobacco smoke exists everywhere i.e. homes, workplace or recreational places, the people said to be exposed to Passive Smoking. The Secondhand smoke attracts development of cardiovascular disease and heart attack. Pathology is a study of disease and changes connected with the Second-hand smoke.

Several publications witnessed, the physical and chemical properties of tobacco almost same in direct smokers and passive smokers. Even some compounds in tobacco proved at about 10 times excess in passive smokers compared with active smokers. Adverse effect also caused to children of passive smoking parents that will result morbidity and mortality. It means passive smoking will be dangerous as well as active smoking. The people should not be feeling free when they are not active smokers, definitely they might be passive smokers. The federal bans smoking in public places including domestic airline flights besides several laws established restricting smoking in public areas and private areas too.

At about 7,000 chemicals found in Passive Smoking and out of them, 250 chemicals found harmful which include ammonia, carbon monoxide and Hydrogen cyanide. The Passive Smoking tobacco smoke also causes cancer through the 69 toxic chemicals. The passive smoking directly effect on a person’s heart and blood vessels.
